Wipro Likely to hire more than 1,000 People in Germany

Wipro Ltd recently announced that very soon it will hire more than 1,000 people in next three years in Germany.
One of the top most IT majors Wipro Ltd recently announced that very soon it will hire more than 1,000 people in next three years from now on in order to increase its number of employees in Germany. The main aim of the company is to expand its business operations in the important European nation (read Germany).

Last year according to a keen estimation of the overall industry the total market size of Germany's IT stood at approximately $80 billion. It simply implies that Germany has one of the key IT markets of the world, and Wipro has decided to target that in order to boost up its overall revenue.

The company released an official statement too in order to address this matter. In the statement it said, “Wipro plans to triple its employee strength in Germany over the next three years, by hiring over 1,000 professionals." 

Currently Wipro’s headquarter is situated in Bangalore, India, and the firm has more than 500 employees in Germany, where the IT major is serving over 30 clients quite handsomely. Another highlighting fact is that as on March 31, 2013 Wipro has a total number of 145,000 employees across 98 different countries.

Wipro mentioned some of its important clients in Germany which are a leading worldwide automotive company, a certain European major that deals with utilities, and one of the biggest telecommunication companies of that country.

"Wipro expects to see significant traction in the retail, automotive, telecom, healthcare, banking and energy and utilities sectors in Germany in the years to come," it quoted in the press release.

Wipro explained that it will give its key priorities to the needs of medium-sized organizations/enterprises in that region in order to achieve stronger and steady incremental growth in the days to come. The company has been focusing on large worldwide leading enterprises for past few years or so, which is paying off quite nicely.


Mr. Rajat Mathur, who is the Chief Sales and Operations Officer (Growth Markets) at Wipro, said, “We are making investments in building strong domain knowledge in key growth verticals and are hiring local talent with strong delivery and program management capabilities.”

So basically the firm is currently having a three-pronged plan of action for Germany. Mr. Mathur added that the IT firm will keep continue its existing strategy to strengthen its new hunting type of approach in the business arena in order to form stable, well-planned, and structured line-ups  of business opportunities for the next three to five years or so.

In Germany the firm Wipro has its business development centres in the cities like Nuremberg, Munich and Meerbusch. It has also its designated sales offices in Munich, Cologne, Frankfurt and Meerbusch.

In Meerbusch the firm has an on-shore data base centre that provides an expand range of IT infrastructure and development management services dedicated to Wipro’s global and European consumers.

    1. @majaal- Thanks for commenting....Yeah you are right Wipro is doing great by expanding its businesses in one of the healthiest nations of the World i.e. Germany....its IT market size is huge, so Wipro will receive handsome exposures which will convert into benefits for the company itself....
