Facebook launches rolling out video ads in News Feeds

Facebook is trying to boost its revenue from advertising by rolling out video ads in news feeds
Leading online social network Facebook stated weaving video advertisements into its user’s news feeds in order to grab revenue from the billion dollar television market.

Susan Buckner, who is eventually the Product Marketing Manager at Facebook, said, "Brands now have another way of engaging people on Facebook with compelling video experiences. We'll roll out Premium Video Ads slowly and monitor how people interact with them."

The duration of these ads is 15 second that will play automatically and pop up in news feeds. It will be designed to reach large audience in targeted areas by the advertiser with sight, motion and sound effects together. Facebook started testing with premium video ads at the end of last year.

"Premium Video Ads are bought and measured in a way that's similar to how advertisers already buy and measure ads on TV" Buckner added.

As of now rates were not disclosed and online reports and surveys are indicating that daily advertising targeting wide number of members at prime time might cost as much as 2.5 million dollar a day.

Facebook has joined hand with Ace Matrix, a company which will help Facebook to measure some creative components like watch ability, meaningfulness, emotional resonance and few others.

Facebook starts showing Video Ads in its user's news feeds to bolster its revenue sector
As per Facebook’s official report, they are with a small set of advertisers now at the beginning to develop such a high quality campaigns.

This new addition will begin to appear in Facebook users’ news feed within next few months.

Currently template of Facebook has been changed a lot. There is a conspicuous gap between column of advertisement and column of news feed. They are trying to add lot more things in the single window. Its great but hopefully it will not be so clumsy interface that a user feels irritating.

Wrap Up

We personally think that nowadays Facebook is trying to woo its advertisers a lot by providing the potential business owners extra spaces in the newsfeed along with quite a few other related advantages. Probably the social networking giant is preparing to take on the mighty Google in terms of revenues from the advertisements.
