Huawei to unveil dual OS Android and Windows Phone Smartphone in Q2 of this year

The world famous Chinese tool maker Huawei has recently confirmed that they are working on a dual OS Smartphone that will be available in the US market in second quarter of current year. This phone will be running on Windows and Android operating system both.

Shao Yang, Huawei's chief marketing officer spotted some points on their upcoming phone with dual operating system in an interview with Trusted Reviews. .

Yang said, "We are still committed to make Windows Phone devices. Compared with Android, the priority of Windows Phone is much lower but is still one of our choices of OS. We are definitely using a multi OS strategy."

Yang also said, "With Windows Phone, one direction for us - and one that we are now following is dual-OS, dual-OS with Android and Windows together both."

According to Yang the dual-OS device will be a new option for consumers. 

Yang concluded, “If it is Windows only, maybe people will not find it as easy a decision to buy the phone. If they have the Android and Windows together, you can change it as you wish and it is much easier for people to choose Windows Phone".

As of now the technical details of this dual OS implementation are not clear whether the operating system can be switched through a dual boot menu at the start up, or the user would be able to switch operating system at any point of time.

Though Huawei is still sticking on their dual OS phone project, another established brand Asus has cancelled its plan to launch a dual OS tab that was expected to be in market this year. According to a report of Wall Street Journal, Asus was compelled to cancel it under pressure from Google and Microsoft both.
