It’s time for 2nd
generation Nexus 7 tablet, as the search engine giant Google has finally unveiled this much-awaited tablet to the world.
Basically it’s a sleeker, smoother and more advanced version of Nexus 7 tablet,
and it will compete against the devices of Apple and Amazon in worldwide tablet
market.
The company has chosen this Wednesday only to launch the device in San
Francisco, and it will be available in the high potential US market from 30th July in Google's very own online
store along with several others leading online retailers.
Google has modified the new device a lot by adding some cool features
into it, and for that it will cost much higher than the previous version. In
fact the 16GB version of 2nd gen Nexus 7 Tablet will cost $229, which is a clear hike of $30 from its predecessor, which
was launched around 1 year back.
But the good part is it’s much cheaper (almost 30%) than Apple’s iPad Mini. It has to be added
here that Amazon’s Kindle Fire HD tablet is currently available for $199 in the worldwide market.
The 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 tablet will cost $269, which is a price
increase of $20 from the previous version, and the 32GB LTE version will be
available for a cost of $349. However, the gadgets are looking very
promising; it has managed to create all sorts of buzzing in the market and the
web. But we need to study the sales report of first month or so in order to get
a clear picture of it.
Google Inc. that the new set of Nexus 7 tablets features 7-inch full HD display
screen and a hi-fi processor that claims to provide really fast experiences to
the users. It also sports dual stereo speakers, which will surely enhance its
overall sound system, and the best part is its battery power too has been
extended by an hour.
Google is also launching the
Android 4.3 along with this tablet. Eventually the new Nexus 7 Tablet will
be the very first device to be powered by the 4.3 version of its Android (Jelly
Bean) mobile OS software.
The revamped second-generation Nexus 7 tablets are basically developed
by Taiwan-based Asus along with the technical support of the Google itself. The
new tablets are very much slimmer compared to other tablets that are currently
running in the world. This simply means it can be easily put into the pockets
or carry bag to use it whenever wherever.
The tablet is around 2mm thinner and little bit narrower too than its
previous avatar.
Mr. Hugo Barra, who is the current vice president of Google’s Android
division, mentioned, "It actually makes a huge difference when holding it
in one hand; it fits more easily in a purse or jacket." At the launch
event he actually pulled out a new 2nd gen Nexus 7 from the back
pocket of his own pant.
The tablets will be available in three different variants across the
whole world. Two of the models will have the Wi-Fi support in order to connect
with the internet while the third one will be properly synched to the carrier
networks of US high speed telecom.
This has to be added here that the only Wi-Fi version tablets will go on
sale on July 30 in the United States,
and the company representative assured that the tablets will be released in
other countries like Australia, Britain, France, and South Korea in the
upcoming weeks for sure.
Sundar Pichai, who is the head of Google’s Android and Chrome teams,
