Last week Nokia Lumia 925 was
listed online for pre-order in India, and now this Windows Phone is available
for sale from the official Nokia Shop. Many smartphone lovers were eagerly
waiting for this to happen, and finally the day has come.
Finland based mobile making company Nokia announced the Lumia 925 in May 2013, and it
has a 4.5-inch long Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen with Pure Motion
HD. The display screen offers resolution of 1280*768 pixels, which is pretty
good indeed. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor
while running on the latest Windows Phone 8 Operating System. Even
the brand new Amber update has also been pre-loaded, which certainly
adds a few great features in it.
It sports an 8.7MP rear camera (auto focus) with additional
features such as 6 element lens, dual LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization
(OIS) and 1080p HD video recording at 30fps. The best part, the ultimate Nokia
Pro Camera, which was previously available in only Nokia Lumia 1020, is
now present in the Nokia Lumia 925 too.
It is also having a 1.2-megapixel 720P HD front facing camera for video
calling and other facilities.
The Nokia Lumia 925 was first introduced in London in May 2013, and now
the device is ready to be purchased in India. It has to be added here that last
week leading Indian online retailers like Homeshop18, Flipkart and Indiatimes listed
this phone in their store for pre-order.
However, currently this Windows Phone is only available at a few selected Nokia
stores in New Delhi at a market operating price (MOP) of Rs 34,300. It is presently
available in three color variants- Black, White and Grey. We think that it will
be available from other mobile retail stores too in next two days or so.
This device is the latest addition to the popular Lumia series, and it also features an awesomely beautiful polycarbonate
body with a metal frame. Its resolution is fully protected by Gorilla 2 glass.
It sports 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and it also offers
additional 7GB free memory access on SkyDrive cloud storage. It is backed up by
a modest 2000 mAh battery, and it weighs only 139 grams.
