Finally the wait is
over for Indian Huawei lovers, as the popular online retailer Flipkart has
listed (see here)
the Huawei Ascend P1 on their
website with a price tag of Rs. 12,990. As per the listings the phone will be
releasing around the 3rd week of August.
Huawei is undoubtedly
one of the best technology companies in the world, and it is well known for its
creativity and advanced mechanisms. Earlier we published here that it is
developing 5G technology,
which is expected to be ready by 2020.
The Huawei Ascend P1 is supported by 1.5GHz
dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor while having a 4.3-inch long Super
AMOLED qHD display screen. It can offer resolution of 540*960 pixels to the
users and it features Gorilla Glass 2.
The phone runs on Android 4.0 mobile operating system, and it sports 1GB
RAM and 4GB internal storage which can be expanded by up to 32GB with microSD card
support. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera (dual LED flash) and a 1.3-megapixel
front camera for video calls. It is backed up by a decent 1670mAh battery.
It has to be noted down
here that this smartphone was first introduced at CES 2012, which means it is being launched in India
almost after a year and a half. It seems like finally Huawei has understood the
value of the Indian smartphone market,
and started to give its priority towards it.
Airtel solely launched the
LTE version of the Ascend P1 in October 2012. It was claimed to be the first
ever LTE-TDD smartphone of India. Airtel had even gone further to announce that
the phone would be especially build to use Circuit Switched Voice Fall Back
technology in order to support voice calls over 3G. However, the fact is that
phone is available in very few selected outlets, as it was not launched widely
all over the country.
