It seems the Xperia series phones have given Sony special boost in the worldwide smartphone
market including the highly potential Indian Territory. The electronics major
has launched its latest phablet cum smartphone Xperia C in India with a price tag of Rs. 21,490.
If you remember Sony had officially unveiled this phone earlier this
year at
the Mobile Asia Expo, and few days back some leading online retailers listed it on their websites for Rs. 20,490.
With this phablet Sony is trying to take on the Samsung Galaxy Grand, which is
currently doing great business especially in India.
Sony has introduced a few great offers for the potential buyers of the
Xperia C. It has announced that smartphones features an accidental
damage cover for up to 6 months from the exact date of purchase. The company
has even tied up with telecom major Airtel to
provide 1GB data access for free for the initial two months following the
successful purchase of this phablet.
The new Xperia C comes up
with Sony's very own OmniBalance design framework, which was seen in its
flagship phone, Xperia Z, for the
first time. It is also the first ever smartphone in the Indian market to be
developed by the Japanese electronics firm to feature a 1.2GHz MediaTek MTK6589
quad-core processor.
The Sony Xperia C has a
5-inch TFT LCD qHD display which can offer resolution power up to 540*960 pixels.
It carries 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can further be expanded up
to 32GB with the help of a microSD card. It is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) and dual
standby smartphone, and it runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating
system.
The Xperia C boasts an
8-megapixel rear shooter with Exmor R sensor to capture every special moment
with utmost perfection. It has inbuilt features like Sweep Panorama and face
detection. It can shoot full HD videos (1080p) with ease, and it also includes a
0.3-megapixel front facing camera.
Currently this smartphone is having three different color variants which are Black, Purple and White. It
