Finally that day has come for which millions of people from all over the
world were desperately waiting for, as both Google and LG has at last officially launched the
much-awaited smartphone of recent times, the Google LG Nexus 5.
The Google Nexus 5 boasts a 4.95-inch full-HD IPS display screen which
can offer resolution support of 1920*1080 pixels. It is fully powered by an
ultra-fast 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor while running on
the latest Android 4.4 KitKat version. It features an 8-megapixel rear shooter and a
1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video calling. IT will be offered in two
different variants with 16GB and 32GB storage options, and the users can choose
either Black or White as the color of this device.
This smartphone includes 2GB of RAM and it is having a unique feature
which supports a new dialer option which automatically suggests people the most
preferable call while Caller ID given by Google exactly matches with an
incoming mobile number to a business even if that particular number is not
saved in the contact list of the user. With the Nexus 5 users can also easily send
and receive text messages via Google Hangouts. The highlighting point here is that the Hangouts for Android now fully
supports the much-needed feature of location sharing.
Dr. Jong-seok Park, the current President and CEO of LG Electronics
Mobile Communications Company, was present at the launch event. He said, "LG is proud to partner with Google again to develop the
fastest, most powerful Nexus phone ever. Nexus 5 offers the ultimate
functionality in a modern design and is a testament to the level of innovation
that can be generated when two great companies come together for a second act.”
The Nexus 5 will be ready for purchase in the official Google Play store
from this Friday only, and users of countries like the United States, Germany, Spain,
the United Kingdom, France, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea and Italy, can own
this smartphone without signing for any contract whatsoever.
Mr. Sundar Pichai, the Senior Vice President of Android, Chrome and Apps
at Google, was present too at the occasion. He said, "We're excited to collaborate with LG on a new Nexus
device. Google Nexus 5 is the slimmest and fastest Nexus phone to date and puts
the latest platform innovations of Android 4.4, KitKat, right in the hands of
consumers.”
The Nexus 5 is backed up by a 2,300mAh Li-Polymer battery, and it has the
most advanced connectivity options such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE, WCDMA/HSPA+, CDMA/1xRTT/EVDO
and LTE. It also supports wireless charging and NFC.
Now let’s come to the best part of this article. There is great news for
the Indians too, as the new Google Nexus 5 smartphone has already been listed on
Google Play India with a price tag of Rs. 28,999 for the 16GB
variant and Rs. 32,999 for the 32GB variant. This smartphone measures only
137.84*69.17*8.59mm and weighs 130 grams.
However, that listing doesn’t mention the exact release date, and
currently it is showing the ‘Coming Soon’ message to the viewers. Though LG
announced that this Android phone will be available in offline stores of several countries in Asia and
other key markets from the mid-part of November 2013, but we still don’t know
whether it includes the Indian market or not.

Wrap Up
Finally Google Nexus 5 is
launched officially, and a long wait has come to an end. It is indeed a high
RAM phone that comes up with a very good quad-core processor indeed. The best
part is it is having the latest Android KitKat 4.4 OS. However, it includes
only 1.3MP front camera which is indeed a large set back, as many were
expecting at least 2MP camera at the front.
But we must admit that the buzz around this smartphone is quite solid
indeed, and even in India it is trending quite well. It seems it will be able
to achieve some great successes on the different part of the world with this
launch.
This post is quite informative for all the techie guys and the good thing is that KitKat version OS is really just awesome so me soon going to grab it.
ReplyDeleteThanks
