The undisputed king of Graphic design Adobe Systems recorded high profit in its 2nd quarter of the current fiscal year. Eventually it
has over-performed and surpassed all the expectations of the Wall Street
itself.
We all know that Adobe is the founder figure of two of the most useful
software of the world, Acrobat and Photoshop. According to the latest
evaluation of the Adobe Systems, it had eventually recorded $1.01 billion in net revenue only.
The profit figure is well within its targeted range, which was $975
million to $1.025 billion. This simply means Adobe has emerged as one of the
most valuable companies of the world, and now it is targeting for some new
milestones in the days to come.
Now we should dig into the reasons of why Adobe managed to book such
profit margins in the last quarter. The graphic design company managed to garnering
221,000 new Creative Cloud subscriptions
in the last quarter, which eventually reflected in forms of strong showing in
the company’s Q2 results.
Currently
Adobe has more than 700,000 subscribers in its Creative Cloud database. Not
only that Adobe Marketing Cloud Bookings is also increasing in a very steady
rate of more than 25 percent. The company has successfully built a strong
reputation for itself over the years and now it is getting the results in terms
of profits.
Mr.
Shantanu Narayen, who is the current President and Chief Executive Officer at
Adobe Systems, published a latest press release to acknowledge the matter. In
it he said,
“Our Q2 results
reflect our leadership position in Digital Media and Digital Marketing.
Creative Cloud is revolutionizing the creative process, and Adobe Marketing
Cloud is quickly becoming the platform of choice for the world’s leading
brands, advertising agencies and media companies.”
It has to be mentioned here that the total net income of the company dipped
to $76.5 million (15 cents/share) in the last quarter that ended on May 31,
2013. Last year in the same quarter the same was $223.9 million (or 45
cents/share).
Feedback
I think Adobe is going through a certain transition and as of now it is
delivering beyond expectations. I personally depend on the Adobe to do my daily
stuffs whether it is to use Photoshop for my image designing or Adobe Reader to
read the pdf documents. What’s your take on this matter? Do you think Adobe can
maintain this in coming years too? Share your views.
