Nowadays Indian electronics and gadget market has been seeing high
growth, and considering that many smartphone
and tablet making companies have
started to give its full priority to this market.
As a good result of that Kobian
has recently launched a new tablet, dubbed as the Mercury mTab Star in the Indian market. It is likely to attract a
large chunk of gadget-freak Indian as it certainly offers some kick-ass
features.
The Mercury mTab Star carries
a 7-inch display screen that can simply offer ultra high resolution of 1024*600
pixels. It is powered by a 1GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor while running on Android
4.1 Jelly Bean. It is built on the MediaTek chipset, and it comes in a metal
body while weighing only 300 grams.
This tablet sports 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory which
is expandable by up to 32GB via a microSD card. It also features SIM card
support to fulfill the ultimate functionality of voice calling. It is having a
2-megapixel rear shooter with LED Flash support and a VGA front camera for
self-imaging and more. It includes almost all the advanced connectivity mediums
such as Bluetooth, Micro-USB, HDMI, 3G and Wi-Fi.
The Mercury mTab Star has
built-in speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack, SGX531 3D graphics engine and the
most-needed Flash 11 support. It is supported by a fairly powerful 3000mAh
battery.
Sushmita Das, who is the Country Manager (India) of Kobian
Pte Ltd, was present at the launch. She happily expressed her own thoughts
about this upcoming device while proudly commenting on it. She said, "mTAB Star will
compete and stand strong as the ultimate choice for purchase this festive
season across the consumers for its light weight and advanced features at
attractive cost. It has all the required latest features to enjoy work and
play. It has been well designed and developed to address the increasing demand
for stylish products in the market."
It is worth mentioning here that Kobian has not yet
finalized the price of the tablet or the date of its availability in the
market. However, it is vastly expected that the company will start retailing it
from the first week of September.
