The era of wearable computing has began, and the electronics giant Samsung has just launched its first ever wearable
tech gadget, the highly anticipated Galaxy
Gear smartwatch in India. It is priced at Rs. 22,990, and expected to hit
the retail stores on September 25.
As we all know that the Galaxy
Gear smartwatch was unveiled at IFA 2013 in Berlin along with the Galaxy Note III.
The Galaxy Gear sports a 1.63-inch (4.14 cm) OLED display which can produce
crystal clear view for the users. It also includes S Voice, and is fully
compatible with the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition. The
company has confirmed that soon the gadget will become compatible with other
top rated Galaxy series phones such as Galaxy S4,
Galaxy SIII and Galaxy Note II.
Earlier Samsung introduced a
pre-order facility for both the device in its official website, and for that
many were expecting that the company would offer a bundled
package of both devices with a special reduced price. However, no such thing
will be happening during the launch.
The Galaxy Gear smartwatch
can make calls, record videos, take images and display messages with super
ease. It has a 1.9 megapixel inbuilt camera in it for all the imaging purposes.
This smartwatch is currently having 70 applications including
specialized apps for basic health and fitness purpose like a step-counting
passometer. Wearable computing is a new thing that has happened with the
technological world, and it is expected that with time more developers get on
board into it. The company is also hoping for it to happen and that will add
more apps to this product in order to make it much more exciting.
Presently battery life is the foremost challenge for any wearable
devices whatsoever. However, it is claimed that the Galaxy Gear’s battery
lasted for around 27 hours under Samsung's normal-use tests.

Wrap up
Samsung has already proved its dominance in the worldwide smartphone
market, and now it wants to extend the leadership into wearable computing
market too. There already a few wearable devices available in the market in the
likes of Sony Smartwatch 2, Pebble smartwatch, Kreyos Meteor
smartwatch and a few more. The Galaxy
Gear needs to compete with these products in order to succeed in its
mission.
This one got NIce features but i prefer Pebble Smartwatch than this, because it's cheaper , classic looking and had good features according to price. Anyway bro thanks for sharing this information with us. :)
