Micromax has already introduced super successful
Canvas series of smartphone in the Indian market, and now the company is
expanding its range by launching its first ever tablet under the Canvas brand. It is great news indeed for all the gadget loving people of the
country, and it seems this new tablet will add special spark to this base.
The new Micromax Canvas Tab P650 tablet sports an 8-inch
display, and the screen can easily offer resolutions of 1024*768 pixels. It is
quite similar the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (311) and Apple iPad mini in terms of
screen size. It has been priced at Rs. 16,500, and currently it is available in
various retail stores across the nation.
The Canvas Tab P650
features an aluminium body and an IPS display too. It is powered by a 1.2GHz
quad-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It includes 16GB of internal storage,
and luckily the storage can be expanded up to 32GB with the support of a microSD

best part is it can be upgraded to the future versions of Android OS.
This new tablets carries a 5-megapixel rear shooter
and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. It has the much-needed voice calling
support, and to access the internet facility one can simply use Wi-Fi or 3G
networks in it. It is proudly backed up by a 4,800mAh battery, which as per
company’s claim can offer up to 5 hours of browsing time on 3G. Several high
quality apps have already been pre-loaded in this tablet such as Opera Mini, M!
Live, Music Hub, Spuul and M! Security.

eventually the co-founder of Micromax, was present at the launch event. He
expressed his utmost joy while unveiling the tablet officially. He said, "With Canvas Tab,
we are offering Indian consumers a unique combination of superior technology

our users on the tablet PCs, supported by an entire eco-system of applications.

complemented with a 360 degree go to market strategy to reach out to the consumers."
It deserves a special
mention here that though this tablet is the first ever tablet developed by
Micromax under the Canvas brand, the company has already been producing tablets
under its Funbook series for a while now.
Recently IDC published a
study report on the emerging Indian tablet market. As per the stats of that

Wrap Up
Micromax
has already established itself as one of the trustiest brands in India, and the
super successful Canvas series is as popular as the Galaxy series of
Samsung or the Asha series of Nokia.
Now the company launches tablet under Canvas brand, which is a great thing. I
think the company won’t take any risk to dilute the image of this brand, and
for that the Canvas Tab P650 should be very useful. It is having a large
screen, quality OS, stable processors and a very powerful battery. It is very
much affordable compared to the similar products of the rival companies.
