Motorola Changes its logo, adds ‘a Google Company’ Tagline

Motorola has finally changed its logo by adding a small tagline of ‘a Google Company’.
The internet giant Google took over mobile handset making company in May 2012 for a huge $12.5 billion. Many market analysts predicted then that Google would surely mark its own stamp over Motorola, but the search engine giant eventually refrained itself from making any important changes in the core points of the Motorola Mobility at that time.

But the thing is nowadays Google is gradually transforming Motorola to establish its own mark on it. That’s why presently we are seeing some signs of a few major changes inside the company. The latest news is that Motorola has finally changed its logo by adding a small tagline of ‘a Google Company’.

This new logo was first observed on the official website of Techweek, which is a conference related to the technological affairs. This particular conference is happening in the United States, and Motorola itself is co-sponsoring it.

The company has not changed the traditional "M" from the logo, but now it will be rounded by a beautiful (colorful too) circle. The colors in the designated circle features several color vibrant like Purple, Pink, Green, Indigo, Blue and Orange. It has to be mentioned here that earlier the traditional ‘M’ sign was inside a bright red-colored circle.

The logo has 'motorola' (small letters) written just below the traditional “M’ sign, which is now enclosed by a colorful circle. This is followed by the official tagline "a Google company". Here we should mention that in the earlier version of the logo only Motorola was written in all capital letters with Bold and Italics.

The latest buzz is that Motorola is currently developing a brand new smartphone, which is labeled as ‘Moto X’, and it is planning to launch it as early as possible. Last month Mr. Dennis Woodside, who is the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Motorola, confirmed this at AllThingsD conference. According to him the smartphone is now almost ready to be launched.

We are seeing some leaked pictures and specifications of the upcoming Moto X smartphone, as these have been circulating over the internet for past few days. As per rumor this smartphone will be powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960 processor. It will have 2GB of RAM, and at least 16GB of internal storage. The smartphone is predicted to have at least 720 pixels display resolution, and it will be run on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. Some recent leaks have also indicated that it will feature a 10-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera.

Final Words

Motorola has lost its glory in the worldwide smartphone market. Now it has the back up of Google, and it is trying to make a solid comeback in this market. With a recent change of logo, especially the addition of the tagline of ‘a Google Company’ has its own importance for sure. We hope Motorola will be able to establish its position once again.
