Earlier this year during the Mobile World Congress Finland based global
mobile handset making company Nokia
announced that very soon it would launch a new dual SIM feature phone. This Thursday the company finally launched
the Nokia 301, and now it is
available online in India with a price tag of Rs 5,149.
Currently the feature phone has been listed at the website of e-Commerce
firm Flipkart (See here), and Nokia India is providing a warranty period of 1
year with it. The color variants of the said phone are Black, Cyan and Magenta.
Nowadays Nokia is giving extra priorities towards the design of its
handsets, and it is carrying forward that trend in this new phone too. The
approach of the Finnish company is quite clear now, as just like the high end
Lumia phones, the Nokia 301 too is featuring multiple colors.
The Nokia 301 has a 2.4-inch long LCD screen that offers resolution of
240*320 pixels. It has an alphanumeric keypad which makes it stand apart from
the other phones of its range. Users can use dual SIM in it, and it is dual
stand by phone too. But the best part is it also offers 3G connectivity which
is the current need of the youths of India. This feature phone runs on the
platform of Nokia’s very own Series 40 Operating System.
Nokia Xpress Browser is preloaded in the coming device, and if we go by
the Nokia’s claim then the browser now offers up to more than 90% data
efficiency. Various reliable sources are now touting the phone by calling it "the
most affordable Nokia device to offer video streaming". The Nokia 301 was
inspired by the cool digital camera lenses that Lumia Smartphones features. So
it is easily understandable that the feature phone is having advanced and useful
camera qualities.
The Nokia 301 will provide "Sequential shot” with the help of its 3.2-megapixel
camera. These shot allow a user multiple pictures (3-5) in a row. The camera
also supports self-timer, Panorama mode and a few other general camera
features. That’s not all; the mobile making company has also added a simple
self portrait assistant with the ability of voice integration. This new thing
will tell its owner to move the camera up, down, right, left to centre to
adjust the face for the best possible shot.
The new phone also has a dedicated app called Nokia Slam which helps a
user to easily share pictures with friends or families via Bluetooth. Basically
it is the easiest way to share images as well as files to other basic phones. Even
the pairing of on Bluetooth will not be needed as a good result of it. The best
part is it not only works with the Nokia phones but also the other non-Nokia
devices too. The Nokia 301 has a cool FM radio with the live record facility,
and it weighs only 102 grams.
