Adobe’s Q2 Profit Stands at $1.01 Billion: Report

Graphic design company Adobe Systems recorded high profit in its 2nd quarter of the current fiscal year.
The undisputed king of Graphic design Adobe Systems recorded high profit in its 2nd quarter of the current fiscal year. Eventually it has over-performed and surpassed all the expectations of the Wall Street itself.

We all know that Adobe is the founder figure of two of the most useful software of the world, Acrobat and Photoshop. According to the latest evaluation of the Adobe Systems, it had eventually recorded $1.01 billion in net revenue only.

The profit figure is well within its targeted range, which was $975 million to $1.025 billion. This simply means Adobe has emerged as one of the most valuable companies of the world, and now it is targeting for some new milestones in the days to come.

Now we should dig into the reasons of why Adobe managed to book such profit margins in the last quarter. The graphic design company managed to garnering 221,000 new Creative Cloud subscriptions in the last quarter, which eventually reflected in forms of strong showing in the company’s Q2 results.

Currently Adobe has more than 700,000 subscribers in its Creative Cloud database. Not only that Adobe Marketing Cloud Bookings is also increasing in a very steady rate of more than 25 percent. The company has successfully built a strong reputation for itself over the years and now it is getting the results in terms of profits.

Mr. Shantanu Narayen, who is the current President and Chief Executive Officer at Adobe Systems, published a latest press release to acknowledge the matter. In it he said,


“Our Q2 results reflect our leadership position in Digital Media and Digital Marketing. Creative Cloud is revolutionizing the creative process, and Adobe Marketing Cloud is quickly becoming the platform of choice for the world’s leading brands, advertising agencies and media companies.”

It has to be mentioned here that the total net income of the company dipped to $76.5 million (15 cents/share) in the last quarter that ended on May 31, 2013. Last year in the same quarter the same was $223.9 million (or 45 cents/share).

I think Adobe is going through a certain transition and as of now it is delivering beyond expectations. I personally depend on the Adobe to do my daily stuffs whether it is to use Photoshop for my image designing or Adobe Reader to read the pdf documents. What’s your take on this matter?
