Just a few days back
global e-Commerce giant firm Amazon launched its online market place in India. The Indian
version is called Amazon.In,
and it has started to attract consumers towards it. According to a news report
the newly launched Amazon India
shopping portal will start offering company’s Kindle Fire HD tablets very soon.
Amazon’s Kindle tablet has managed to record a decent number of sales
via its main site Amazon.Com, and many users have already expressed their joy
after using it. Now the company has decided to expand the businesses of its
flagship tablet, and in order to do so it will launch it in India at Rs 15,999
on 27th June. It has to be added here that earlier Amazon introduced its Appstore for Android in India.
The company has indeed
made the news official by releasing a statement to acknowledge this matter. In
the statement it said that Kindle Fire HD tablet will have a 7-inch screen and
it would cost Rs. 15,999 for the Indian buyers. The company has also mentioned
that the larger version of the tablet which has a screen size of 8.9 inch would be on sale for Rs 21,999.
Dave Limp, who is the current Amazon Kindle Vice President, explained an
overview of the launch in the said media release. He said, “Not only does Kindle Fire feature advanced hardware, it’s also
a service. The combination of the leading apps, the largest book selection,
great email and browsing and top rated customer service, we hope our customers
in India will agree that Kindle Fire HD is the best tablet for a great price.”
The technological world is changing and the tablet market is emerging
all over the world including the developing countries like India. As a result
of that global franchises are giving priorities in making user friendly and
innovative tablets. We have already informed you that Google’s 2nd generation Nexus 7 tablet is coming in July. It is going to be a great
competition between new Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD, and it will be fun to watch
the outcome of this battle of tablets.
Amazon added in its official release that not only the Kindle HD series
they would also launch Kindle Paper
White in the mean time. It is not confirmed yet whether the Kindle Paper
White would come up with 3g or without 3g, but it would cost Rs 10,999 for
sure. Currently Amazon is providing a free alert service via email to let the
interested consumers aware when the gadgets will be in stock.
However, the regular Kindle device of Amazon is currently available in
the market for Rs 5,999 only.
