Apparently the most valuable company of the world Apple has recently launched its mostly awaited iTunes Radio Service to take on poplar streaming music providers
like Pandora and Spotify. The father figure and maker of the iPhone Apple
launched it in the annual WWDC event in San Francisco.
It was expected that Apple would name the service as iRadio, but
eventually it didn’t happen. Apple eventually published an official statement
in its annual developers conference event. In the statement it said that the
internet music service would cost nothing at all. iTunes Radio comprises the
feature of more than 200 stations. According to the statement it also has an
incredible catalog of music from the official iTunes store.
It has to be mentioned here that the said music service is expected to
be available for the users later this year, and it will be ad-supported and
free.
As quoted by Apple in its statement, “It
offers music fans access to thousands of new songs every week, as well as
serving up exclusive music from new and popular artists before you hear them
anywhere else."
Another key fact of this topic is that Apple will integrate iTunes Radio
Service with its own voice-assistant software mechanism/programme Siri. With
the good effects of this integration users of this service will be able to find
out the details like ‘Who plays that song?’ or even as the program itself to ‘Play more like this.’
Mr. Eddy Cue, who is currently handling the post of senior Vice
President of Internet Software and Services at Apple, also expressed his joy
while saying that it would be a value addition for his company. He also
mentioned that this service will be able to entertain the consumers in a very
good way. While addressing the fans and followers of Apple he said,
“iTunes
Radio is an incredible way to listen to personalized radio stations which have
been created just for you. It's the music you love most and the music you're going to love,
and you can easily buy it from the iTunes Store with just one click”
Apple was in the news of all over the web for last two days due to the
announcements which it made officially in its annual developers conference in
San Francisco. The event was closely followed by millions of people. Some of
them were extremely happy while the company revamped its upcoming iOS 7 in the
meet.
Apple’s iOS 7 received a mixed reaction in past two days.
Some are saying that it is a revolutionary update and it will carry forward the
company’s glory to one step forward but some has been criticizing it as well.
According to those critics this new operating system is not appealing at all,
and some of its key features are just the ‘copy of the android’.
In the executives meet Apple also showcased a new series of Mac
computers and declared that its own voice software Siri, which is currently
available on the iPhone, now incorporates one of the leading search engines
Bing that is owned by Microsoft itself.
Apple’s new tablet and smartphone platform iOS 7 was designed by Jony
Ive. This new platform has a new look completely different from its previous
versions. It actually uses translucency to showcase the contents that are
underlying. It has new icons and new typefaces too. As per some market experts
and sources close to Apple, the company is thinking of launching iOS 7 for the
users quite soon apparently in the current running year itself.
