Indian local mobile maker Micromax has finally launched the Canvas
Doodle 2 in India. It is one of its featured smartphones,
and today I’ll talk about the price
and several key specifications of
this device.
The Canvas Doodle 2 carries
a 5.7-inch HD display (IPS), and it offers resolution support of 720*1280
pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor while running on well
popular Android 4.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS platform. It features an awesome 12-megapixel
rear shooter (auto-focus) and a modest 5-megapixel front camera. The camera
also supports dual LED flash, which makes things even more attracting.
Micromax is claiming that
this smartphone can be upgraded to the most updated system versions through
FOTA. It sports 16GB of internal storage, but it can’t be further expanded via
microSD card. The phone is backed up by a super solid 2,600mAh battery, which
can easily provide up to 8 hours of talk time. This Android phone
comes up with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) options, and it has all the advanced
connectivity options such as GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The device is
already pre-loaded with killer apps like M! Live, M! Doodle, M! Zone, M!
Security, Spuul, Foneclay, Facebook, Hike and Kingsoft office.

2 sports a stylus too just like the original Micromax Canvas Doodle A111. It is
also having several mind-blowing features like Skitch, Smart Pause, Blow or
Shake to Unlock, which were previously found on company’s current flagship
smartphone, the Micromax Canvas 4.
Mr. Shubhodip Pal, who is
the CMO at Micromax, was present at the launch. He expressed his utmost joy
while releasing the device. He also talked about his views about this
particular smartphone, and why it is different than other similar offerings of

Canvas Doodle 2 is indeed a good addition to the Indian
smartphone market. In the past few years Micromax has managed to build a fan
base for itself, and this smartphone might help them to taste yet another
success. It is having a great camera, decent battery backup and solid
processor. However, the think it should feature a microSD slot too, and it
doesn’t support a few advanced connectivity mediums like NFC and 4G either.
