Finland based global mobile handset making company Nokia has listed its new Asha
501 smartphone on its own online store in India at Rs. 5,199. Any
interested users can pre-order it now without any trouble.
Nokia also revealed that Nokia Asha 501 will be available
in five different colors which are Red, White, Black, Yellow and Cyan. However,
the company didn’t mention any exact dates whatsoever by when the phone will be
available for the end users.
Eventually Nokia Asha 501 was unveiled in May 2013, and it is one of the
most awaited and talked-about phones of the Asha series, as it will be run on
the new Asha platform. Just a few days back Nokia developed and designed the
new platform in order to provide better, faster, smoother and more responsive
experiences to its users.
Nokia Asha 501 has a 3.0-inch capacitive touchscreen which
supports display resolution up to 240*320 pixels. It also has only a single
‘back’ button, which is a new thing in the series indeed. It has a
3.2-megapixel rear camera, and it weighs only 91 grams.
At the time of launch of
the phone Nokia had announced that the Asha 501 phones will have both the
Single SIM and dual SIM variants. However, Nokia has only listed the dual SIM
Asha 501 in its India based online store, and this smartphone has the popular easy
swap feature too. It has full Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, but sadly users of
this phone will not be able to enjoy 3G or GPS via it.
The phone contains an
internal memory of mere 64MB, but it can be easily expanded up to 32GB with the
help of a microSD card. The good part is Nokia is giving away a 4GB memory card
for free of cost on purchasing the phone. The new Asha 501 has 17 hours of talk
time support, and it can run on stand-by mode for 26 days on a single charge,
which is really commendable.
